Day 38

Perth was a great end to the tour- great crowd and we were on form. Imelda is on the up and up- her control of an audience is exceptional which makes our jobs easy. Perth is fantastic and is what I imagined Australia to be like- in the bigger cities you could really be anywhere. I hope we come back.
After 38 days away; 8 crappy basses; 10lb of buffalo wings; moose balls; Kangaroo steak; patti melts; chilli burgers; chilli dogs; corn dogs, Gumbo; jambalaya; clam chowder; colossal blossoms; open sandwiches; closed sandwiches; grilled sandwiches; French toast; eggs benedict; pizza; pasta; a surprisingly good Vindaloo and an unsurprisingly bad Taco Bell... Maker's mark whiskey; Jameson; Guinness; Bud; Stella; Corona;Red Stripe; Blue brand; Tooheys Ale; VB; 2 gallons of Cherry Coke and 14 gallons of coffee.. I'm ready for home!

Day 37

Fly to Perth today for our last gig of the tour. Last night was a pretty pointless support for Jools in Melbourne. Dave has come down with a nasty bug and Imelda has got some allergy that has swollen her eyes so that she looks like a character from Avatar. But worse than all that, I watched the Guy Richie Sherlock Holmes movie. Dross.

Day 35

Fly to melbourne today- day off! Whahay!!
Bit of sightseeing, seafoodand a hotel movie (not that sort!!)
Melbourne Comedy Festival is on at the mo so who knows where I'll end up. I can't believe it only takes 35 days to start feeling like I'm going doolally-tap.
Day 34

Arrived in Sydney. I got out of bed on the wrong side of the world today, properly homesick now. Australia is beautiful but it's a bit wasted on me at the mo as all I can think of is home. We played a Jools Holland support tonight. It was nice to catch up with those guys but I've no idea what the theatre was called. At the hotel I shared a lift with Glen Matlock and Slim Jim Phantom. Reality can be really strange sometimes, can't it?
End of Day 33

Great gig- Byron Bay is a fantastic festival! i saw Buddy Guy who absolutely tore the place apart. Hope to catch him again- what a band! Good to see Jeff Becka again too. Sydney tomorrow, the end is nigh- woo-hoo!!!!
Half way through my Robert Mitchum biog ' Baby I Don't Care'. I fell asleep reading it on my balcony this afternoon and sunburnt a triangle on me chest!

Day 32- April 1st 2010. Early....

Doing a festival today at Byron Bay. We are on just before Brian Auger who is then followed by Doctor John so hopefully I'll get some good snaps.
.....later
...
Still can't upload photos due to virus. : ( However had a great day at the Byron Bay festival- we went down a storm. Saw Brian Auger- he was great! Electric Leg used to play 'Ellis Island'- I now feel a bit embarrassed as I've now seen how it should be played first hand and it were AWESOME! I met and chatted to him after but was too shy to ask for a pic together.
Also saw Doctor John- very colourful. i saw dragonflies as big as my hand and literally 100s of frogs smaller than my little finger nail.
And I ate Kangaroo- lovely! x
Day 31

We left LA on the 29th and got to Sydney Australia on the 31st! What happened to the 30th?!

Anyhoo, we are now in Brisbane and the weather is beautiful although there's not a great deal to do- which suits me as all I want to do is chill, baby- so sat on my balcony and finished my book 'Devil in the White City' by Gary Larson. Look it up, it's great!
Darrel went in the sea and got stung by a jellyfish which made him walk like Gene Vincent and I ate some suspicious noodles that made me walk like Douglas Bader.
Day 30

Completely lost this day as we were flying to Australia!
