Making your way in the world today
Takes everything you've got;
Taking a break from all your worries
Sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away?
Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
You want to be where you can see,
Our troubles are all the same;
You want to be where everybody knows your name.
You want to go where people know,
People are all the same;
You want to go where everybody knows your name.
Takes everything you've got;
Taking a break from all your worries
Sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away?
Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name,

Sept 21st, The onslaught of Star Wars Blu Ray release adverts on the TV means once again Its compulsary to have Lightsabre Battles every twenty minutes in our house (with protective Goggles of course) Ace gig at the Jamhouse, Birmingham with the Giant Killers Reunion (even though only 3 out of the 5 of the original lineup were present) It was great playing with the Lads again - James O'hara on Guitar always great, I think maybe the best British Blues Guitarist around at the mo in my opinion, much suppage ensued afterwards at The Actress and got nicely sloshed with Brummie songwriter Mickey Greaney, Dexy's Pete Williams and Brums own Stand-up legend Andy Robinson, aaaahh twas a fabby ole night!

Radio 2 show at Hyde Park, London, what a great gig! these sort of things are usually a right load of old scrote but I have to say I really enjoyed this one,We played a blinder! Lenny Kravitz performed and completely stole the show - did anyone really think that he wasn't going to? Beverley Knight was great and also Caro...oops I've forgotten her surname, anyway I liked her too, I was outta there before the yodeling king of of moist-eyed-sap-pop James Blunt or Ken Barlow took to the stage.
Glasgow for a couple of days then back for the Dorset Steam and real Ale Fair where I were playing with Big Boy Bloater and me ole mucker Deano Beresfordo, many an Ale supped whilst listening to pop sensation Oliver Darling and his Dirty Robbers, It's the only way I can bear them! ha ha as you can see we had a great time!
Aug 28th, Poole Upton Country Park fest, great festival if a bit wet and ankle muddy *sigh* this is our last gig for a while, I think we need a wee break, all the gigs and festivals seem to be rolling into one - Its not that I'm not enjoying them, I'm having an amazing time....but we need a little break.
Aug 27th, Rhythm Festival in Bedfordshire,just at the end of the rainbow, great little festival if a bit wet and ankle muddy, great line-up, including Nick Lowe, Buzzcocks and the Blubbery Hellbellies! we went down a storm which was nice because my Brother and his family were there and Darrels Mammar and Poppar.
So, I think I'm up to about Aug 26th, stick with me as I learn how to use this bloody new camera..... where was I? oh yes 26th, lovely gig in Londons Hampton Court, It took me 5 hours to get there - bloody London traffic!!! anyway, twas very good if a bit wet and ankle muddy, the die-hards were out in full force and Imelda was on top form.
Whoah!!! We did the Rose of Tralee in Ireland, that was an eye opener, no offence meant but it was a little like going back in time to the 70s - miss world and all that, anyhoo fun and frolics with the Clabby family ensued, I miss my camera, hopefully I'll get chance to load some pictures at a later date.
Ok,Ok,okaayyy! So what has been going on since we got back.....
V fest,Stafford,can't really remember that one, I think we did it and got outta there sharpish as I'm sure I got back for a full night on the Razzle, V fest, Chelmsford, much the same only on this one I did try to get out front to see Ocean Colour scene but someone was peeing up the backstage gate so I left it. Euwwwww smelly!
