Great gig in New York, met some groovy people, pictured are two of our most devoted Imelda May fans, Dave getting absolutely hammered on Dan Danger Ale (this is just before he sang "Bridge over troubled water" on the Karaoke and started a conga, Darrel and.....he plays Elvis in the Million Dollar Quartet, and Imelda and I having a love-in.

Fly to New York - jeez Louise its Hot Hot McHot, 112 degrees, I'm sweating like Oliver Reed with a milkshake!
First stop was a very cool daytime Radio programme called......no, its gone, cant remember, very good though in fact its the 2nd time of doing it, if you go aaaallll the way back to the start of the Blog theres pics of us the first time around.
Evening Gig is at the prestigious Mercury Lounge, sounds lovely doesn't it.

Recorded TV programme Craig Ferguson today in L.A, different network, different atmosphere but still very very good, met Eddie Izzard! Network eyes wouldnt allow any photos unfortunately - poops!
Then straight to the El Ray Theatre - fan-tas-tic gig with great crowd, I love this Theatre!

Pictured below Steve and Dave clearly enjoying the early rise for our New York Flight outta there and look there is our manager - Hugh, the Nigel Havers of Rock n Roll ( He wouldn't let Samantha even sit on his bench - so controling!)

Hey you, Jay Leno show went really well although I regret some of the shapes I was pulling which the rest of the Band have enjoyed immensely. had a wee drinkiepoo by the pool after where soundman Trev made me laugh so much that I nearly snotted out! I know its only day 2 of our American tour but its feeling good!
Pictured below : Dave in reflective mood, Imelda releasing a boy into the Californian night air loaded with Helium balloons (she's always doing that, she thinks its funny) Imeldas PR Lady Samantha and I, I think the lemons in the Lemon drop cocktails have got to her.

"Buddy" the Cake Boss!!!!!!!
Had a fantastic time at Jay Leno, great atmosphere, great people!

Ugh, 3am, Jetlag, picture of my Balcony view. Jay Leno tonight, aint I gonna look fresh, Eugh!
Touch dow in L.A, staying at the Sportsmans lodge where you can sit with supersized tourists in their ill fitting mankinis around the outdoor pool drinking Lemon drop cocktails and overpriced beer - which Imelda and I did, lovely.
after a few beers and a plate full of Buffalo Wings - thats right, I'm back I settle in for a good nights sleep x
Nice one - Larmer Tree festival today, these small festivals are so much more superior to the big corperate bollocks that seem to hog rags like NME etc, got a chance to see and chat to the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain, these guys were fantastic! our gig as you can see was great too, looks like Steve missed his pad there delivering a text book paradiddle to the scrote.

Wowzers, Somerset House was truly a fantastic gig, beautiful surroundings and if I say so myself Imelda and Band were on fire!
Anyhoo, no time to soak up the adoration as we're up next morn, quick croissant and a fart and to split to Maida vale for a recording of the Paul Jones show for Radio 2! very cool, just look at that plaque that proudly hangs in the studio, Bing Crosby made his last ever recording here in 1977 - would be quite cool if it hadnt been a voiceover for Bachelors Cuppa soup.

Jeeeeez, note to self, don't mix champagne, Lager, Guinness and vodka shots, woke up with a screaming hangover shaking like a Dyslexic on Countdown, never again!
Tonight we play Somerset House in London, there you go, all up to date, more tomorrow!
July 9th, skiddaddle over to Ireland for the Oxegen fest, Irelands biggest festival, the atmosphere was great, backstage was bizarre, said wotcha to Dave Grohl and gave Liam Gallagher a nod of recognition, our set time was well placed on the second stage and we went down a storm, even joined on stage by Imeldas Dad!. The Clabby clan turned out to see us as it was Imeldas Birthday - We all got extremely hammered (I think)

7th of July, get aboard our bus and travel to Sctland for T in the Park, well organised fest with some great names on, as nice as it was to be asked to headline one of the stages you have to compete then with whoever is headlining the main stage, in this case it was the Arctic Monkeys, our crowd was diminished but you have to hand it to the Scots - The people that chose to see us were mental and we all had a great gig - nice one!
Sunday - quick dash to hop farm fest, Stunning lineup on this fest, Morrisey, Lou Reed, Iggy and the Stooges, and Prince, atmosphere sucked though.
July 1st, family outing to Cornbury fest - In my opinion the best festival of the year, great people, great atmosphere and great lineup. We played on Saturday before Ray Davies and The Faces, bizarre moment backstage chatting to Clem Burke and Glen Matlock, the people you meet in this game eh?

Ok June 28th, travel to Paris to support the Brian Setzer Rockabilly Riot Show, was good to catch up with them and great crowd, Brian is great and Slim Jim guested on Drums - still not a patch on The Stray Cats back in the day but good fun nonetheless
Off to headline Acoustic stage of the Cack-stinkin-middle-earth fest Glastonbury, after the 12 hours of travelling from gate to gate and several carparks we finally get in and able to relax next to our 3 day old portaloo with a nice cup of coffee that you could stand a spoon in - The Big Time!
Got to see the excellent John Cooper Clark who made me laugh so much I almost ended myself! our gig was great too, really good crowd and to top it all, Imelda met a little girl who had been christened Imelda May - what are the chances of that eh!? lovely couple, lovely Baby x

Dash to London Hyde Park for Hardrock calling, thats right, purveyors of gastronomic beige food Hardrock Cafe have put on a fest, not bad either, we were on just before 80s power ponce-pop king Bon Jovi, weird!
Straight to Cork Marquee, SOLD OUT! thats 5000 capacity! In fact an extra night was put in which SOLD OUT TOO, thats another 5000 people! ooooh get us!
fantastic gigs and fantastic sessions after in the hotel with the Clabby Clan.
